Philippines' First Blogging Summit set on May 7th, 2005

Back from a week-long work-related training course that took me to Malacca. I'll blog about that later. For now, I'm catching up on my newsfeeds, emails from bloggers, and work (not necessarily in that order).

The Filipino Librarian alerted me to this upcoming event -- the 1st Philippine Blogging Summit:
The Internet Society Program (ISP) of the U.P. College of Law is pleased to announce the holding of the 1st Philippine Blogging Summit—an open event where Pinoy bloggers and newbies can discuss everything and anything about blogging.
Here's their schedule of the day-long event, with topics like "Blogging for Newbies", "Governance and Blogging", "Blogging Creatively", "Blogging and Journalism", "How to Build a Bookmark-Worthy Blog".

According to JJ Disini, as of 28 Apr, more than 100 people have signed up just from the online publicity alone.
